Intelligence Bureau IB Exam Pattern

  • The exam pattern is same like other government exam. The exam is divided into 3 parts: Preliminary, Mains and Interview
  • The preliminary exam will be divided in 4 parts General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English Language.
  • The exam will have the duration of 2 hours.
  • The total marks of the exam is 100 marks.
  • Each question is of 1 marks and there is negative marking in exam for every wrong answer 0.25 marks are deducted.
  • The main exam will be o 50 marks and main focus is on the English Language.
  • Only the student those who clear Prelims and main exam will be allowed for the interview exam.

Note: In the exam the candidates need t choose their mode of exam i.e. in Hindi or English. Which ever mode you choose you will get your language in that only.

Selection Procedure for Intelligence Bureau

  • As the exam will be divided in 3 parts. The candidates need to pass the Preliminary phase first and to pass this the candidate need to have above 50% of marks.
  • Once the Prelims exam is cleared candidates are called to give the main exam. This exam is of 50 marks and  20 % marks are required to pass this exam.
  • After the Main Exam there will be a interview session and this is conducted to check the personality of the candidates.
