Eligibility Criteria

Only registered candidates can apply for the post and the course name is CPC course. If you want to know about the eligibility criteria of CA CPT then check the article given below:

Education Qualification for CA

  • A person need to be 10+2 qualified in the field of Commerce and that too from the recognized board of the country.
  • To give the attempt a person must be registered with ICAI for CPC before June 30.
  • If you want concession in marks than you need to have a bachelor degree with at least 55% marks.
  • If a person is from another stream and want to apply for this course than you need to attain at least 60% marks in all the subjects.
  • You can also apply for the exam if you are a student from the Institute of Cost and Work Department or Company Secretary.

CA Salary in India

Exam Pattern for Chartered Accountant

  • There are total two exam in the CPT.
  • Both the exam will be conducted in two sessions.
  • Each session will have 2 exams.
  • In 1st session you will have Fundamental Of Accounting and Mercantile Laws.
  • In 2nd session you have General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Student need To Pass in all the subject separately.

Important Notice

  • There will be negative marking in the exam and for each wrong answer ΒΌ marks will be deducted.
  • As the answer sheet will be OMR, So if you have marked 2 answer for same question your answer will be treated as wrong.
  • Student can use calculator for difficult question but not scientific calculator.

CA CPT 2019-20

We like to inform you that there is a change in the CA Syllabus and Exam. The above exam pattern will be discontinued from the June attempt of 2019. The new revised syllabus for CA course is given below:

CA Course if you are school pass.

If you are school pass out then you can attempt in November for the first time.

Foundation Route

  • Register with BoS after appearing 10+2 till Jun 30 & Dec 31.
  • You can now appear in Nov or May Attempt.
  • Once you qualify the foundation you can apply for the intermediate courses.
  • You can complete four weeks training of ICITSS (Computer Training).
  • Appear and pass in both group of Intermediate.
  • Register for 3 years of Practical training.
  • Register for CA Final course after passing both Group of Intermediate.
  • If you haven’t pass the ICITSS training earlier then you need to do it now.
  • Complete practical training.
  • Appear in final exam after completion of practical Training.
  • Once you pass the final exam you become a ICAI member.

Direct Route

  • For the direct entry you need to be Intermediate pass student of Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Institute of Company secretary of India. OR You can be a commerce graduate/ Post Graduate with 55% and if you are graduated from another field than you need to have 60% marks.
  • After this register for Intermediate course or you can apply for 4 weeks training of ICITSS.
  • Complete the 3 years training and appear in Intermediate exam after 9 months of Practical Training
  • You need to clear and pass the ICITSS training.
  • Complete practical training.
  • Appear in final exam after completion of practical Training.
  • Once you pass the final exam you become a ICAI member.

Age Limit for CA CPT

If you want to apply for the CA CPT than you age limit should be:

  • The minimum age should be 17.5 years as this is the age when a student is passed from school.
  • There are no relaxation for any particular group.
  • There is no maximum age barrier to apply for the exam.
